Mellow Yellow

After a crazy busy Easter holiday including a beautiful trip to mid wales and a trip to Somerset to visit my family, my lovely man and I finally made it home. The next day it was my sister-in-law's birthday so we hopped on a bus to attend her little birthday gathering!

Dress - ASOS Curve, Kimono - ASOS Curve, Bag - Vintage, Shoes - Yumi, Scrunchie - Urban Outfitters, Leggings - Newlook Inspire, Lipstick - MAC Lady Danger.

It was a horrible, grey, rainy day so this fabulous ASOS Curve cold shoulder dress and caged kimono were just perfect to add a little glamour to the occasion! I bought the dress a size bigger so it was as free flowing as possible and it is unbelievably comfortable! The kimono is just perfect when you're feeling a little more adventurous than the average cardigan and is a lot warmer than it looks haha!

I found these shoes in at outlet store called Yumi in Clarks Village when I went home to visit my parents! They were £7.50, are insanely comfortable and the studded design allow me to relive my youth as an angsty goth teenager!

I also found this gorgeous bag whilst visiting my parents, in the most adorable little vintage shop on Glastonbury high street. It is the perfect size for a purse, phone, umbrella and a little makeup - which is great for me because usually I carry a ridiculous amount of unnecessary things in my handbag!

This nail colour is really a step out of my comfort zone! I never usually wear ANYTHING yellow because as a rule, it washes me out terribly. However, this shade was too summery and feel good to resist! I picked it up in Peacocks of all places for £2 and the shade is Neon Yellow. Although it ended up being white thick because I needed to use a lot of coats to ensure the varnish was thin or patchy, for £2 I really can't complain at all! It definitely made my falsies pop!

The Grand Budapest Hotel

Yesterday my gorgeous man and I got all dressed up and headed out to Penarth Pavilion to watch The Grand Budapest Hotel for date day!

My Outfit - Jacket - Charity Shop (branded inside as Variations), Dress - ASOS Curve, Tights - Evans, Shoes - River Island, Bike Brooch - Vintage, Blue Tit Brooch - Laserbean.

Gareth's Outfit - T Shirt - Charity Shop, Trousers - Peacocks, Desert Boots - TK Maxx, Sunglasses - Charity Shop, Bag - Koolertron.

This jacket cost me £4 and I literally love it. But I don't wear it all that much - however after seeing the new Iggy Azalea 90's 'Clueless' inspired video for 'Fancy', I definitely felt it was time I crack out my own tartan blazer offering! This dress is so comfortable and can be dressed up and down and I especially love the lace panel that runs across the neck and shoulders!

My nails are still not at their best so I'm trying to give them some recovery time by not using any coloured polishes! This little H&M glitter is a perfect alternative to colour and looks super lovely under the light, it sparkles a holographic silver.

We ate lots lf super delicious food before seeing the film! Caramel Crunch Joes on a sugar cone, a Cajun chicken burger and homemade fries and elderflower bubbly!

I also made a new friend on the pier!

The pavillion sell pint glasses of salted popcorn or £1 from their vintage popcorn machine! It was delicious and such a lovely added touch, even if I did eat all of it before the film started haha!

I really cannot recommend this film highly enough! It was impeccably cast, visually stunning and so much fun! It is rare that I sit through a film at the cinema without at least fidgeting a little, but this was one of those select films during which I was completely captivated! It was the perfect way to end a perfect date day!

Fashion And Confidence

As some of y'all may know, I recently did my first shoot. It wasn't for a big name brand or an awesome cool publication, but it was incredible and I could not have had more fun!

I have now received the shots (all taken at my home) and I am so excited to share them with y'all!

Dress - Miss Real Curve for Newlook Inspire.

Dress - eBay (I think it was originally AX Paris Curve).

Dress - Anna Scholz for Simply Be, Necklace - Dorothy Perkins.

Now I'm not a professional model in any shape or form but I could not have felt more confident when I did this! I fully embraced my VBO, my chubby legs and my sweet bingo wings. All my outfits felt incredible and I felt as if I could do anything. This was partially down to the incredible lady that did my shoot Gemma Marie - she was so easy to be around which meant I could relax entirely and partially down to the fact, after all these years, I have finally accepted myself for the fat, foxy and fabulous woman I am! If I could wish for anything to come out of this shoot, it would be that one woman who is feeling down about herself sees this post and thinks 'fuck it - I love me'.
