Needless to say, even I was shocked at the reaction my legs received! I had random youths shouting offensive comments at me from their cars, disapproving stares from the elderly and 'discreet' chuckling from random groups of people.
Now, I'm really not one to moan and whine about the unfair treatment of fat people, but, it was just plain ridiculous. I have fat legs, I have tattoos, I have incredibly white skin - if you don't like it, don't look! You don't see me commenting on or laughing at your hideous haircut or ridiculous outfit now do you?
So after this experience, I would like to proclaim that, I love my fat, tattooed, neon white legs and you can just shut the hell up if you don't like it!
Normally I steer clear of orange as it does clash somewhat with my hair but i thought screw it when I saw this dress! I bought it 2 sizes bigger to ensue it was as smocky as possible and it did not disappoint! It has the most adorable clashing patterns, it is ridiculously comfortable and so airy, so perfect for hot days!
I love these shoes, especially teamed with these socks. The two together remind me of what I had to wear in primary school and the shoes are so comfortable I could live in them - but I don't want to wear them out.
I decided a little extra orange couldn't hurt so I threw on some Rimmel - Shirley Temple, from their cocktail collection. I love this shade, it has such depth and looks amazing in the light!
So to all you ladies who are feeling insecure about baring your legs this summer, I say embrace to chub or the lack of tan or your heavy collection of tattoos and let those pins see the sun! They deserve to bask in it's warm, comforting light just as much as the rest of your body! Bugger what anyone else thinks!
Lots Of Love,
