#GirlGangGoals with ASOS

Recently I was lucky enough to be asked by the glorious Mrs Bebe of Mrs Bebe Blog to be part of her Girl Gang for ASOS. Myself, Mrs Bebe and the heavenly Em Smyth of Terrible Tumbles clubbed together to create a squad that can only be described as the love child of Dolly Parton & Joan Jett. I could not think of two better girls to share a gang with as I deeply adore both of these human beings, their stunning faces and incredible plus size fashion sense. In our posts, we decided that we were going to pay homage to the original Girl Gangs of old.

Jacket & Polo - ASOS Curve (skirt tights and shoes - my own)
As ya'll know, ASOS have forever been my favourite plus size brand. They offer the most incredible, fashion forward, eclectic selection of fashions available for plus size women of today! The pieces I am wearing in these shots are no exception. The quality of these items is second to none, the heavy suede of the jacket means the cut and fall are impeccable and the gorgeous lurex mix of the polo means it is not only sparkly and fabulous, but comfortable and incredibly versatile. I had always dreamt of owning a jacket that made me feel like a country and western star and now I can truly say that that dream has come true! The fringing on the sleeves and back of this jacket is flawless and so on trend - fringing is still a big deal! The colours in the polo have something to suit everyone which means there isn't one person that would feel it 'wouldn't suit them' and not only that but the sparkly thread running through it almost reminds me of Christmas, which is basically my favourite time of year ever haha!

I really love the concept of this campaign ASOS are currently running with a few groups of bloggers. Female solidarity is so important - no matter what race, age, sexuality, creed - we need to stick together. Find your girl gang, whoever that may be, whoever you feel at home with, whoever brings out the best in you and stands by your side through it all. Go out drinking, wear each others clothes, sit and drink a cup of tea, eat cake, dance all night, cuddle in bed in your pyjamas - cherish those girls in your gang because those girls are your sisters. I have never felt more at home than I do with these girls and I refuse to let a day go by where I don't appreciate how wonderful they are to the fullest.

Both full outfits worn by Bec & Em - ASOS Curve.
Be wild, love and support your girl gang.

Almost Famous

So I have been absolutely dying to share this outfit with you guys!! When Simply Be contacted me and asked me to choose what I would wear for London Fashion Week from their website, I was beside myself with excitement! The 70's is such a huge, huge trend this year and Simply Be particularly offer some incredible plus size options so on point for this trend! So, that is what I went with!

Full Outfit - Simply Be (including sunglasses and shoes. Small back top under dress is not Simply Be).

I do not even know where to start with this outfit. It is literally, my dream outfit. This coat is possibly one of the most incredible items I have ever owned. The real suede is of unbelievable quality and the soft satin lining is gorgeous. I can never get enough of faux fur so the addition of the white faux fur trim is glorious. As the weather gets colder I am willing the day to come where it will be cold enough for me to wear this coat every single day! The tie waist just adds a sweet extra feature and pockets are always a handy addition to any item! I honestly can't rave over the quality enough - I'm wearing a size 28 and it is a perfect 28, allowing me plenty enough space to wear a variety of items underneath it without feeling too restricted! I also love the clashing shades of the coat and dress together - it reminds me of the autumn leaves!

As soon as i saw these suede shift dresses popping up on trend in different stores I was desperate for one but I was unsure I would find one that was cut well enough to fit a fat body comfortably. But this one is fantastic! The quality, again, it's divine and the material is soft and luxurious. The pockets are just a feature and don't actually have an opening but they do add a cute extra to the dress! I was also concerned it would be INCREDIBLY warm because of the suede but it's really breathable which is great for me as I do get hot so easily. I've added a little high neck black top under the dress just to style it up a little. It could easily be worn with nothing underneath, however, I  love how it looks with the high neck against the scoop of the dress! Everyone is aware that Simply Be sizing can be hit and miss so I got this in the biggest size available, a 32. Honestly, it comes up more like a 26 so ladies over a size 26, I would be careful when ordering this or at least bare it in mind! That issue doesn't detract from how incredible the dress is though, I adore it and it makes me feel so vintage, 70's and fabulous!!

Simply Be stock a huge variety of great shoes. Sole Diva being a brand that offers cute shoes, for great prices! These brown brogues are no exception! Look how cute they are! The mix of leather and suede is stunning and adds a truly vintage feel to them. They are super comfortable and the sizing, width wise, is brilliant. I don't have to wear wide fit shoes but if I like a shoe that is wide fit, it would never stop me purchasing them, it just means there's a little extra room for my trotters haha!

This entire outfit makes me feel like Penny Lane, including these wonderful mirrored, coloured aviators. The cute gold rims mean they are super versatile and can't be worn with almost anything and the size of them is ace too as I love a large pair of sunglasses!!

Simply Be offer so many incredible pieces and despite the occasional issue with sizing, I can't fault them. Especially when it comes to the trends - they always ensure they offer pieces that follow the top trends for us fabulous, fat ladies!

A Day At The Office

When I was contacted recently by M&Co and asked to review a piece for them, I was instantly inspired to use my chosen piece to up my workwear game!

Cardigan - M&Co, Shirt - Evans, Trouser  Look Leggings - Bon Marche, Shoes - Office, Belt - ASOS Curve, Glasses - Osiris (Specsavers).

I don't know about you guys but I really struggle with feeling inspired when it comes to my everyday workwear! I usually end up picking the same few things from my wardrobe and that is that. However this cardigan is the perfect piece to add something different to your usual items! Now it's getting a little colder, I find i need some kind of cover up but nothing quite too heavy yet, so when this arrived I was so pleased. It's a great, lightweight, very soft material and the bat wig sleeves are roomy and breathable. I've added a belt around the waist just to put a little twist on this gorgeous cardigan. It could be work over almost everything and could be styled up or down depending on what sort of working day you were having! Also, nothing makes me feel glam as easily as leopard print so adding a dash of that to your work wardrobe always works wonders for me!

Honestly before this, M&Co would never have been a go to shop for me. Not for any reason, just because it wasn't somewhere I would automatically think of. However, after receiving this incredible staple piece, I cannot recommend them enough for great, versatile essentials! Check out their full plus range over on their website -

Lavish Kate

It's not often that I see a piece of clothing and I hear choirs of heavenly angels singing but I can assure you that the moment I laid she's on this Lavish Alice jacket, that happened.

Jacket - Lavish Alice, Split Sides Top - Simply Be, Leggings - Newlook Inspire, Shoes - Vivienne Westwood, Bag - Newlook.

Words cannot describe how glorious it feels to put something as edgy and high fashion on my fat body as this jacket. It well and truly blows my mind. The quality, the fit, the shoulder pads - every single inch of this jacket is perfect. I'm wearing a size 26 and I would say the sizing is very true, as is the case with the majority of great quality garments. Wearing this jacket makes me feel how I imagine Rihanna feels - like a total badass bitch haha! I have 0 negative words to say about this piece and I can't wait to see more from Lavish Alice. They have a small collection available on the Simply Be site as they have only recently branched into plus sizes! This jacket was actually taken from the collaboration they did with Lindsey Lohan! I can see an incredible future for this brand and I know they are not going to disappoint!

This split sides top from Simply Be is fantastic. So simple, so comfortable and so classic. As so often with Simply Be the sizing is a tad unusual, this is a size 32 but fits me like a good 26 usually would. But as I've said before, the size label doesn't matter to me, it's all about how it fits and if I love an item and have to size up, it makes no difference to me. I am really embracing the high neck of late and the soft material makes this little roll neck totally perfect! I don't feel strangled but it still has that 90's, roll neck edge! It clings to my belly and my hips and honestly, I do not care. I feel fabulous in this top and that includes my big ol' belly!
