Away With The January Blues

Firstly I must once again, HUGELY apologise for my absence over the last few months! Moving country (only Wales to England haha), moving home, starting a new job, getting our pooch and other mad life events have meant that I have somewhat neglected my blog of late. But never fear! I am back in the saddle!

Now I don't know about you guys but January is ALWAYS depressing, no matter what you do. No one ever has any money, no one wants to accept that Christmas is over, everyone is feeling the pressure to make 'changes' (this is not a pressure I bow to myself as I find the idea of 'redoing yourself' just because it's January, a bit mad) - so any chance to feel fabulous and I am taking that! The lovely people at Evans recently sent me a gorgeous, glamorous outfit to wash away the January blues.

Dress - Evans, Tights - Evans, Shoes - Evans, Faux Fur Stole - Yours Clothing.

If you're looking for a comfortable, glam dress that is super versatile, this is your dress! It's a very flattering cut that hips in at the waist and then flares our perfectly. It's a cute, vintage-esque length that sits just below the knee on me and I'm 5'7. Although you can't see it in these photographs the material is intensely glittery!

In different lights the glitter shimmers silver and gold which is lovely but my only issue with this dress is the fact the glitter sheds. Please be prepared for your arms, torso, back etc to be covered in glitter haha!

I added the fur stole as any excuse for a bit of faux fur and I am there haha. I think it adds just the right amount of Cruella De Ville glamour to the outfit!

These shoes are also gorgeous. They're a soft patent slip on with a pointed toe which is basically my perfect shoe haha. They are a EEE fit which means they do slip slightly on me as, as I've said before I don't tend to need a wider fit shoe however that doesn't make me love them any less! They fit perfectly with this outfit and as y'all will know by now, I don't wear heels so a stylish and fabulous flat is ALWAYS called for! Also I have said it before and I will say it again, I SWEAR BY Evans tights. In my opinion they are the most generously sized and most hard wearing on the plus size market. They come in sizes 1, 2 and 3 - I always go for three because I like pulling my tights up as high as they will go haha like literally, under my boobs and these bad boys do not disappoint!

It really has been a little while since I had time to glam up so this made me feel like my old self again. I've been so busy with this and that, that I just haven't had a chance to get back to my blog but now I have, I can't wait to share more with ya'll!

You can grab this great dress over on the Evans website -http://www.evans.co.uk/en/evuk/category/clothing-250468/dresses-250498 and why not check out all their occasion wear too - http://www.evans.co.uk/en/evuk/category/clothing-250468/dresses-250498/black-dresses-3506617.

Just a quick Dolly update for ya'll! We've now had her for almost a month and she is thriving! She is 100% not the dog we brought home who was timid and a little bit bald - she is cheeky and loving and hilarious. I really didn't think it was possible to love two living things as much as I love these two.

Lots Of Love,
KLJ x

  1. Your dog is adorable, I really love seeing her all over instagram!

I really like those shoes, would you say their supportive? I've never really been a flats girl but recents health problems means I really need to buy more but I often find my ankles twist over because the shoes isn't supportive enough for my wonky feet!

    1. Aww thank you darling! She's a little dream hehe!
Sadly I wouldn't say they are super supportive. Maybe it's because I don't need wide fit shoes or it may be the softness of the material but they do sag at the sides slightly. They are BEAUTIFUL shoes and super comfy but sadly not supportive! X
