House Of Fraser Burgundy Dreams

Recently I was contacted by a lovely lady from House Of Fraser and asked to review a piece from their wide selection of plus size items! It was so difficult to choose just one piece but in the end I decided to go with something that will be great over the coming (hopefully) warmer months, but can also be worn until that time comes!

Longline Shirt - Evans At House Of Fraser, Turtle Neck - Newlook (Tall Range - Size 18, worn as a crop), Leggings - Newlook Inspire, Shoes - Converse.

This longline shirt is honestly, heaven. Not only is the beautiful rich burgundy a glorious colour, but the quality is impeccable. I did size up twice due to the ever growing bump and I believe longline items, more often than not, look better with a little extra flow in them! The material is soft and light but also thick enough to fall well and not crease! One of the things that frustrates me the most with beautiful, longline items is if they crease like hell as soon as you sit down but thankfully this beauty is crease proof! Not only does this piece have endless good points but it's only £18 on the House Of Fraser website!!! It's an absolute steal and I cannot urge you enough to go and grab one because it will be so perfect during the summer I this and can wonderfully transfer to Autumn/Winter too!!

Grab it here on the website, a long with endless other amazing plus size and main range size items -,default,sc.html!

Also can I just quickly note how ridiculously long my hair has gotten! One of the many beautiful wonders of pregnancy is to thank for this I believe haha!

London Underwear

So this Saturday just gone, the INCREDIBLE girls at Curvy Kate organised a glorious day for my girls and I in London. We ate a wonderful breakfast before heading to the beautiful 'Undressed' exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum and finally enjoyed an incredible afternoon tea at Bistro 15 in Kensington! I did all of this whilst wearing my first ever piece from Navabi!

Breakfast at Le Quin Quotidien with the incredible Becky, Em and Elena!

The 'Undressed' exhibition at the V&A explores the history and evolution of underwear. Although you weren't allowed to take pictures, I didn't see the sign, so managed to snap a couple before being told off (whoops!) including a maternity corset! I would recommend this exhibition to anyone! It is so much fun and so interesting to see how fashions and preferences have changed over the centuries. There are some unbelievable couture pieces included and although there is a small charge to enter the exhibition, if you get the chance to check it out, do it!!

On route to afternoon tea, post exhibition, with the beautiful Chantelle from Curvy Kate!

Afternoon tea was life changing. Bistro 15 is based at the Pelham Hotel in South Kensington and is truly glorious. We were the only people in the bistro, the service was wonderful and the cakes, sandwiches and tea were to die for. Truly! As Elena and myself are both knocked up (haha), we did not partake in the Prosecco but the Jasmine tea I had was beautiful. If you are looking for somewhere fancy to enjoy a delightful afternoon - I definitely recommend Bistro 15! Treat yourselves! We were also lucky enough to receive amazing Curvy Kate gift bags which included a set each for us! Mine is absolutely beautiful and as always with CK, faultlessly fitting and comfortable. I will post a review of it fully for y'all over the next few weeks!

Shirt Dress - Miss Yoek At Navabi, Leggings - Newlook Inspire, Shoes - Converse, Bag - Dr Marten, Neck Tie - Borrowed.

So, to my outfit! I had never had anything from Navabi before this piece and oh my gosh, I had been missing out! This shirt is the most wonderful quality, soft, breathable cotton. I sized up twice because I needed to allow for bump growth haha! This is a size 28-30 and it's INCREDIBLY generous. London was very hot and sweaty the day we went but the light, gentle fabric allowed my pregnant body to be more than comfortable in that climate haha. My only tiny criticisms of this shirt dress would be that it is very sheer, so if you prefer full coverage it may not be for you and the soft cotton creases very easily - so after a 2 hour train journey, I was already looking a little disheveled! However, please do not let those little things stop you from investing in this beauty. I love the subtle stripe and the shorter sleeves and I know I am going to wear this basically until it falls off me over the summer haha.

I would really like to say a huge, huge thank you to Curvy Kate for making this day happen. Without them I don't think I would have gotten to see my girls before little Bun is born, nor would I have gotten to share my pregnant energy via bump touching with beautiful, beautiful Mana Elena. I had such a special, fun day and it really is a day that will stay with me for a very long time!

Maternity Gold With Yours

So I've never said this before but I am NOT a big fan of maternity wear. More often than not, it's generic, frumpy and hugely uninspiring. At least that is what I thought before Yours got in touch and asked me to review their incredible new Maternity range!!

Jacket - Elvi, Cropped Jumper - Next, Maternity Palazzo Pants - Yours Clothing, Shoes - Converse.

As most of ya'll know I am NOT a trousers girl at all. I just don't feel comfortable in them. However, as soon as I saw these babies, I knew I needed them. They are INCREDIBLE! The maternity waist cut is so comfortable I almost want to cry and the material is so soft and breatheable they will transfer effortlessly to part of my summer wardrobe! I'm 5'6 and with flat shoes on they JUST touch the ground which is a great lengh and they don't give the ever dreaded camel toe (one of my main fears when it comes to trousers). They also come in plain black and navy - so there is a colour for every occasion! I cannot speak highly enough of how glorious they are!! As a plus size woman, VBO is something that we are always made to feel conscious about but oddly being pregnant has made me more comfortable with my tummy. Although I do have an obvious bump (not so obvious in these pictures haha), I also still have quite a pronounced pouch at the lower part of my stomach. But like I said, growing our little boy in my tummy has made me appreciate exactly what I have and how wonderful my wobbly belly really is!

Jacket - Lavish Alice For Simply Be, Maternity Dress - Yours Clothing, Shoes - Evans.

Now, not in any way, shape, or form would you ever guess this dress was from a maternity range. It is heavenly!! When browsing maternity ranges generally, I had always noted how poor the choices of 'dressed up' wear were. The go to was usually a maxi dress, overly floaty and not at all me. So this beauty stood out to me instantly! The lace is incredibly soft and the lining is a beautiful, stretchy jersey that stops about 2/3 inches above the overlay. The tie waist is just a simple ribbon that could be removed if you would prefer it, however I think it adds the perfect touch and can obviously be tied as loosely or tightly as you'd wish - depending on bump size! Black might not be everyone's first choice when it comes to 'dressed up' outfits but this dress is also available in with a white lining if you would prefer something a little lighter. Any pregnant plus size babes out there worrying about an outfit for an occasion whilst you're bumpy, never fear! This dress has got you!

Wrap - ASOS Curve, Maternity Dress - Yours Clothing, Shoes - Primark.

Now, don't all scream at once but I know this dress is not the most forgiving item! But bare with me! It is about the most comfortable dress I have ever owned. It is so soft, stretchy and breathable and although it does highlight all tummy lumps and bumps - embrace that! Embrace how it clings to your beautiful belly and heavenly hips! Embrace how it highlights your growing bump and little pouch. Whilst trying these outfits on, I put this dress on and thought 'hmmm I don't know', in the mean time, I hadn't noticed Chris staring at me. He came over and put his hands on my belly and said 'our gorgeous little boy lives in there and you look so beautiful'. Obviously, I burst into tears. But it made me realise that yes, this ultra comfortable, super breathable, cute maxi dress highlights my 'lumps' but why should that be a negative highlight? I know that when I'm twice this size and it's the middle of summer, I am going to live in this dress! The cute little rouching at the sides also allows for the most comfortable bump cradling possible!

I also got these two incredible pieces too!  The t shirt is not my normal thing as I'm not a big 'novelty' t shirt fan, however, the pregnancy hormones took over and I had to get this adorable little number. The print is a soft white glitter and the general material of the t shirt is the softest I have ever felt. Sitting in the house in this, feeling incredibly comfortable, yet still looking cute is wonderful! I need more lounge wear like this as my usual loungewear is, honestly, pyjamas covered in makeup and more often than not, dinner haha!

These leggings, oh lord these leggings. You have not known comfort until you have whacked on a pair of maternity leggings. I did size up, which honestly was a mistake as there is NO need to, they are very true to size and very generous bump wise! The little lace detailing makes them perfect for casual or more dressy occasions whilst still remaining INSANELY comfortable!

As I said at the beginning of this post, I'd always been a negative nancy when it came to maternity ranges but Yours have FULLY converted me! I am already racking up items for my next order from this range and plus size pregnant ladies, I cannot recommend it enough! The range has already expanded since it was first launched and it will only keep growing - just like our bumps haha! Your bump, body and style will thank me but your bank balance may not haha!

Finally, for those of y'all that don't follow me on other social media, I am SO excited to announce that our little bun is A BOY ❤️! Apparently, true to little boys in utero, it took a great deal of jumping, walking, eating and drinking to get him to flash his parts but we got there in the end! Little Eli Christopher Harding will be with us in September and we could not be more excited/impatient to meet our boy!

Lots Of Love,
